PIA will do much better for our country and compete with other good airlines.President Zardari instructed PIA managing director that the 3,000 daily wages employees of PIA be given permanent job status, 15 percent increase in the salary of employees of pay groups 1 to IV with effect from January 1, 2011, allowances of PIA cabin crew to be restored as of year 2001, increase in the insurance coverage of cabin crew of pay groups 1 - IV from Rs 300,000 to Rs 600,000 and increase in insurance from Rs 600,000 to Rs 1,200,000 of cabin crew of pay groups V and above.
